In 1787, the bohemian violin-virtuoso Wenzel Pichl published „Cento Variazioni“, an etude for violin dedicated to his teacher Pietro Nardini.
One hundred variations based upon the La-major scale (played) in the bass – a truly exemplary showcase / panoply of the violin techniques in the late eighteenth century.
Edited by Reinhard Goebel.
