This new edition has been conceived for offering practical page turns for the solo instrument without adopting an unusual layout. In the solo part-book for cello we have printed both the arranged and the original version, in order to satisfy the requirements of a wide range of players and their differing interpretative approaches.
In the piano part, Schubert’s autograph has been adhered to as closely as possible and the cello part is equally practical for the 4 string or the 5 string cello.
